How do you share financial information securely with family members?

I’m looking for a secure platform to share investment-account and bank passwords and other financial information with my wife, who has so far resisted my pleading with her to sign up for shared 1Password. What do you use? Is a shared note in Apple Notes sufficiently secure?

Post-it Notes would be next easiest to 1Password

How is she storing her passwords?

Apple Notes isn’t secure enough, IMO. It would be if you could share password-protected notes (Apple doesn’t know the password and they’re encrypted.)

When I had this situation, I had them save the logins in their iCloud keychain. Periodically they’d have to update their saved password, and I’d share the current login using expiring 1Password share URLs.

That’s a pretty good idea, actually. That way we could just share Mac passwords. Thanks!

In Keychain AFAIK. 20 characters.

I sincerely hope you’re being sarcastic Lol

If you consider her devices to be secured enough (specially on computer: difficult password, locking the account after screensaver and so on) I think sharing an Apple Note with her is secure enough.
