How to connect iPad with beamer

Does anyone has experience with a direct connection of an iPad (2018) with a beamer?

As of now I use a MacBook Pro with display port adatper to VGA or HDMI (beamer dependent) and the iPad as Keynote remote. This works fine but not having to bring an extra device will sometimes save some weight.

Setup without ATV and any adapter that needs an extra power supply would be prefered.

Any ideas?

Apple sells a Lightning to HDMI adapter, works fine. You can even charge while presenting. Unsure about VGA though.

Apple sells also a lightning to VGA adaptor, which works fine.

Thank you both for your tips. Is there a 2in1 solution? I only found the 2 separate adapters you mentioned.
