How to remove Dropbox from one Mac only before erasing Mac

How do I remove Dropbox from my M1 MacBook Pro 14" (macOS Sonoma) without affecting my Dropbox account and Dropbox files on my other devices (Mac Studio, iPad, iPhone)? I am sending in my MacBook to Apple for repair of possible hardware problem.

In macOS should I simply use System Settings > General > Transfer or Reset > Erase All Content and Settings?

Or is there a way to “sign out” from Dropbox for only that one device, without affecting the cloud-stored Dropbox files and synced files on my other devices?

I did not easily find answers in the Dropbox help, or perhaps I did not work the question correctly.

Using Google “uninstall dropbox” found

I probably would also turn off the WiFi and pull the ethernet cable if there is one. Stops the computer talking to Dropbox.

Your decision to delete or move the dropbox files.
