How to send files between a PC and apple devices without cables, mail or uploading to a cloud system?

Hi there!

At work I’m forced to use a PC and most of the time I carry with me my iPad and always have my iPhone near.

I need to send some files with the easiness of airdrop but between a PC and Apple.

Thanks!

While I’ve not used it, take a look at KDE Connect.

I’ll take a look a it, thank you.

I was curious about this as well and found the page below. You can connect to an SMB share through the files app on your ipad/iphone.

Have you used it? I’m not an expert but I have of course privacy concerns.

I’ll take a look into it, thank you.

Readdle’s Documents offers “Wi-Fi transfer”, which enables you to transfer files using a browser on the PC to Documents on iPhone/iPad (without using a cloud).

SnapDrop, PizzaZone et al use a browser standard called WebRTC to discover other clients on your network and to transfer the files locally across your network. They never see your data.

I know, it is not like Airdrop, but what about an USB-Stick?

It would be one solid choice, thanks.

If your Apple device is a Mac, simplest solution would probably be a thumb drive.

The thing is that I barely bring my Mac to work, mostly my iPhone and iPad. I’ll try the other solutions.
