How to toggle Magic Mouse scrolling on/off?

Sometimes I want to quickly toggle mouse scrolling on/off (without going into the System Settings>Accessibility>Pointer Control>Mouse & Trackpad>Mouse Options… menu)

Is there a way to use Keyboard Maestro, Better Touch Tool, and/or AppleScript to do this?

Thanks,
Russell

By ‘turn off’ mouse scrolling do you mean change tracking direction to and from “natural”? If not, I’m not sure what you’re asking. (Or do you mean completely turning off the scroll bar/wheel/touch area?)

If it’s the former you can use an AppleScript and either turn it into a clickable app or have Keyboard Maestro trigger it; this thread has a trackpad-specific Applescript that can be used as a template for the Mouse prefpane.

I mean I want scrolling off completely, so brushing a finger on top of the mouse doesn’t cause hard-to-control zooming in Google Maps.

Thanks,
Russell
