Include User Name in the Menu Bar in Big Sur

Hi, is there any way to display my user name to the menu bar in Big Sur?

This showed automatically in Catalina but only seems to display the user name if I click a button with my mouse in Big Sur.

I believe you can change it under under users & Groups - login items - fast user switching menu.
