Input Volume Keeps Adjusting Down

I searched posts but couldn’t find an answer to this.

I have an issue where the input level for my microphone keeps adjusting down. I can’t figure out how to make it stop automatically adjusting. I turn it up to 100%, then two seconds later it adjusts down.

It thought I saw something in a google search about a terminal command to stop this but now I can’t find it.

Help please. I now sit in meetings where my mic is needed with the System Settings panel open and keep dragging it back to 100% every once in a while.

No sure if the mic is connected or is bluetooth, but I have has a similar issue with my PowerBeats, and I disconnected, “forgot” them and then reconnected them, which seemed to solve the issue
