TLDR: Newer = Faster (duh) but more memory also helps.

Interesting that they were able to measure real use and not rely on benchmarks. Also the improvements were not that remarkable. Really the upgrades of M1 to M3 could only be justified by the relative expense of the employees compared to the Macs, which is as it should be.
