Intermittent typing on Smart Keyboard

I have an 11’ iPad Pro 2018 and an Apple Smart Keyboard attached. I sometimes experience that the typing on it does not work. Either it doesn’t register any keys at all or sometimes the arrow keys (to the sides) don’t function.

Anyone else experienced this?

I had some issues with my 10.5" keyboard not working intermittently. I cleaned the contacts on the connector and it took care of the issue.
