I need a new hard drive for Time Machine backups and try to find out what might be the best choice. Take it difficult for me! So far I landed on: Seagate Barracuda ST6000DM003 - 6TB - Internal - 3.5" - SATA 6 Gb/s - Memorial Stamp: 256 MB. Is this a good choice? Or do you have a better recommendation for this capacity and in this price range or cheaper? Recommendations would be much appreciated.

I’m a fan of the Seagate IronWolf drives. They’re designed for better longevity than the Barracuda. I don’t know what price range you’re looking at, but this is what I use in my NAS - which is a logically similar use case to Time Machine:
