The contacts are still in iCloud how do I get them back down to my phone.
Apple had me go to the iCloud Weber face and there’s a restore option there but it doesn’t appear to be moving very fast. Not sure if it’s gonna work
Log into your iCloud account and verify the contacts & calendars are complete.
Remove the iCloud account from your iPad / iPhone and add it back again.
If you are sure the contacts are complete you can allow to remove them when you delete the account. This makes the setup cleaner.
Before you do anything backup via iCloud (encrypted) so you can always recover with a restore or iAmazing
