iOS 15 Photos Shared With You

Hey MPU,

I’m looking for suggestions on how to help my wife with her iPhone. I installed iOS 15 when it was released, was happy to see that new feature when I open my Photos App, I see those conversation bubble that indicate I can save the shared photo to my phone and that it was from my Messages.

I installed iOS 15 on my wife’s phone, but when she opens the Photos and Messages app, she doesn’t have that. I checked the settings , I tried sharing a photo with her via iMessage, but it doesn’t auto-show in Photos like mine did.

Suggestions?

Jason and Myke have been talking about this on Upgrade — there seems to be some factors on when images are added to Photos and when they aren’t that are a bit buggy at the moment.
