iOS 18.4 causing delays in iCloud file sync, resulting in problems

Anybody else seeing this?

In iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4, iCloud file sync seems to have gotten slower/overly lazy. This has had the following bad symptoms for me:

  1. A Scriptable widget that I set up to show my daily note often returns an error that the content of the daily note was empty. (It’s not).

  2. Shortcuts that I set up to append information to a daily note often updates an old version fo the file and overwrite newer versions resulting in data loss.

Anybody else seeing these sorts of issues in 18.4?

I just saw this on macOS 15.4. iCloud Drive just spinning. :confused:

Maybe it’s on the Mac end of things pushing changes up to the cloud, rather than on the phone/iPad being lazy about pulling down the latest copies. It’s hard to diagnose where the fault is, exactly.

If anybody knows if there are hidden logs to check somewhere, please share that info.
