I always wondered why the phones at the Apple Store always looked brighter than my phone. Same model same settings. I went digging into the issue on the internet and I had forgotten or never knew, auto brightness was on by default in the Accessibility Settings. Turning auto brightness off allowed me to get a much brighter screen. If you haven’t tried it, I think you should!
