iOS Browser is now Mandatory

So for the last several years I have blocked Safari behind screen time in order to manage doom scrolling. If I needed to look something up that Apple Maps could not supply then I would download a third party browser and delete it after the search. Recent iOS update now requires a browser and an Email app to be mandatory on the phone. I am probably one of dozens of people that this applies to but it is interesting none the less.

Since you are out of the habit of using Safari, would it help to leave it in the app library and hide it using the “Require Face ID” feature?

I completely forgotten the hidden app feature. (Mainly because of the immoral purposes that feature will undoubtedly facilitate) But that seems like a solid way adjust my settings. Might put the App store in there to provide some friction.
