iOS/iPadOS Music activity draining battery

I have been having higher than expected battery drain on several devices since iOS/iPadOS 13 and now into 14. When looking at the battery report in Settings, I frequently see a high percentage used by Music. This is even when the device is sleeping, with the screen off, and not playing music.

Short of a full reset, any ideas? I have tried force quitting all apps, doing a forced reboot, etc. I even deleted the Music app and that just left an entry hanging around about “recently deleted app”.

MacRumors forums seem to think this is the fix:

Removed iCloud library from settings and signed out, rebooted phone, then re-added, and issue resolved.

It’s from an article about the issue happening in 13.5.1, but my understanding is the issue has persisted into other versions.
