iOS Mail Automation for Bullet Points

One of my biggest frustrations with the iOS Mail App is the inability to create bullet points. Sometime I use Drafts as a workaround to create bullet points or numbered lists. But this does not work the best with email replies. I am just starting to explore automation and workflows. I am thinking there might be an answer out there!

Text Expander keyboard shortcut set to your preferred bullet plus a tab or a few spaces? Use the TE keyboard in Mail. It’s not perfect because wrapped lines won’t indent, but it’s close.

The same thing in an iOS keyboard shortcut may also work with the added bonus of working with any keyboard.

You can totally add bullet points.

  1. Open a new message.
  2. On the toolbar there’s an icon with a large A. Click on it.
  3. A formating bar will appear on your composing window.
  4. You will now have access to regular formatting tools, like bullet point, numbered lists, type face, etc.

Hope this works for you. If not, elaborate on your problem.

I am taking about iOS Mail for the iPad. There is no “A” to click on. Unless I am missing something entirely!!
