How can I install the new OS on my 32g iPad? IpadOS takes up 16g.
It’s pretty frustrating they sold these for so long. The best bet is to plug into a Mac and upgrade from Finder.

I think it was more than just a bit frustrating!
They are still selling the base iPad with a 64GB option. My daughter was going to buy it. I convinced her to buy the next option the 256 GB. Her initial response was that Apple would never sell a device that might not be suitable - such is the trust among many people that Apple would never rip them off, or cut corners.

I off loaded everything. Deleted a lot. And forced quit serval times.
Finally got iPad 18 installed.

I agree.
My M1 Air with 8GB of RAM does feel a lot more ‘chuggier’ than my M1 Mini with 16GB.
