iPad battery replacement

My iPad Pro 9.7 is coming up in three years of age and the battery is showing it. I used to be able to go all day with most use. Now I’m lucky to make it until dinner time. Looks like a battery replacement for it is $99. Since it’s still working well for me I’m probably going to have it replaced. Anyone else done this? Any issues?

While I would love a new iPad I can do without the expense right now. I also don’t want to have to get usb-c cables to charge it.

A friend did this a couple of months ago and had no problems. When you consider that iFixit says it takes 70 steps (and 1-3 hours) to perform a battery replacement at home, and they charge $45 for the replacement battery, $99 seems like a fair price.
