Turning off auto-capitalization is fine. Rose’s trick to hold shift to lower-case the first letter while auto-capitalization is on is the thing that doesn’t work.

@RosemaryOrchard Yes, exactly, on the first letter of the text line/body. I would love to figure out how to make this happen for me, haha.

Don’t hold shift, tap it. So if you want to type an s at the start of a sentence you would press shift, release shift, press s, release s.
