After installing 26.2, if my M4 iPad Pro is in its keyboard case, it keeps turning on and off (when it should be sitting quietly). This also results in the battery slowly draining.
Is there a setting to fix this? Auto-Lock is on. Tried restart. I can close it and this seems to fix it, but if I reopen it does this again. Power button does nothing.
I doubt it. That would suggest, to me, that you changed some setting that caused this.
Before I installed 26.2 my iPad Air was freezing and requiring me to power it down. Then it would not power back up until I connected it to my Mac with a cable. Installing 26.2 fixed my problem.
IMO, iOS/iPad OS wasn’t ready when it was released and Apple turned us all into beta testers. If this was happening to me I would erase my iPad and reinstall iPadOS 26.
I’ve already done this twice on both my iPhone and iPad since I “upgraded” to OS26. I don’t hesitate to do this to fix a problem that I can’t solve in a few hours. YMMV
Try swiping down from the upper right to open the Control Center and using the power-off button at the top of the Control Center.
It might be that there is a Focus mode that is getting activated and waking the display. Or a persistent notification from an app.
