Is anyone using iPadOS 26 on a pre-M-series iPad Pro? I have an 11" second generation iPad Pro (A12Z Bionic chip). Can anyone tell me if that has what it takes to make the latest iPadOS a good experience?
Thanks!

I would love to know this too. So far I have not upgraded any device as they are all a little old (iphone 13, M1 mac and the same second generation iPad Pro.
I’m using it on a 10th Gen IPad I had laying around. Working fine for me.
I have it installed on both my iPad mini from 2021 or so and 2018 13“ iPad Pro and I cannot complain so far.
Instead im rather impressed how usable iPad OS 26 works on my iPad Pro. Granted I don’t do any intense work - it’s just email, Safari, Ulysses, Calender, Files, Notes - and while nothing is quick to respond, I can do all the necessary stuff easily; even the windowing works decent enough.
Do you have any specific questions?
26 is running fine on my iphone 11 pro, but I only use it for phone calls, light texting when not at home, & playing music in the car.
I’m running iPadOS 26 on a first gen iPad Pro 11”. So far all is running well. I don’t do any processor heavy work on it, but for writing emails, browsing the web, YouTube, reading and annotating PDFs, etc. it’s working fine.
Thanks, everyone! I mainly use my iPad for basic productivity and a lot of annotating PDFs with GoodNotes, so it sounds like I should be “good to go” to upgrade when I have the time.
I appreciate you all sharing your experiences!

Thank you all for your answers, I might try an upgrade this weekend now the updates have been released. It feels there has been quite a lot of negativity around at these upgrades so it is good to hear some positive experiences.
I’m running it on a 13” A12X Bionic chip and while some of the animations are a bit jerky it works surprisingly well. I mainly use it in Sidecar mode because I use it on a stand next to my Studio Display. When not in Sidecar, I’ve been using it for accessing Calendar and Superhuman with no issues at all, it still runs well.
I have been running iPad OS 26 on a 2nd Generation iPad Pro for about ten days. Everything seems to work as it should do, although I personally have mixed feelings about the new window management.
