Can anyone recommend a cell phone case for the iPhone 16 Pro Max. I usually always get an otterbox, I have a iPhone 12 Pro Max and even though I had an otterbox, I’m happy with the $15 dollar case I purchased from amazon over the otterbox.
Another vote for Spigen. They now have a clear case (which I like so I can see my phone color) but it’s leagues ahead of Apple’s clear case. The buttons are easy to press and I think it might be a little smaller. But really it’s the buttons that do it for me.
If it’s a thing for you, though, it does have full coverage around the bottom (not an open bottom like Apple’s).
Oh, and I don’t usually do screen protectors, but I’m experimenting with a Magic John privacy screen protector. FaceID can be a tad touchy, but I’m giving it a shot so I can have privacy from prying eyes in town or on public transit.
I have been using the belkin screen protector from Apple, broke it a couple of times, they sent me a new one with no problems. But does a phone really need one? I like it, but my wife doesn’t use one. The guy at the Apple Store told me the screen cover will break before the actual screen. I’m just curious if that’s true.
That truly depends on how the impact is If the iPhone falls face down to an edge of a granite step, it will just shatter the glass or have some scratches, but the back might be intact with no damage.
That’s by design and the whole point, cracks, scratches. No problem, replace it. I want to trade in my phone in 2 years. If I have to buy a few screen protectors instead of being dinged on trade in, it’s the trade off I prefer.
Yah, good point on the screen protectors are the things that should break first. I rarely crack a screen when I’m not using a screen protector. And I use Apple’s iPhone Upgrade Program, so I’m not really worried about scratched screens. If I were selling my phones myself, I would absolutely use a case/screen protector more often.
My experiment with a screen protector is truly about the privacy angle. I’m growing more weary about people reading everything on my screen when I’m in public.
