When did iOS change to morph the edge of the display?
I normally have my phone muted and don’t look at the display when adjusting volume.
I also don’t care for it, finding it distracting and can’t now unsee it but haven’t found if it can be disabled.
IOS 18.
It’s not bothered me in the slightest. In fact I find it useful and cute

Each to their own opinion but I thought this would be disabled with other animations?
(I also disable haptics and keyboard clicks)
Anyone who isn’t a monster disables Keyboard clicks!

Can you explain what you mean? I have no clue what you’re talking about. I have a custom background and as far as I can tell nothing has changed…

Apparently this changed in iOS 13, although it’s unchanged on my phone (SE2020).
Not the volume control.,
When you push a button (volume, power…) the desktop wallpaper inches “out of the way”

Still no clue, the wallpaper stays the same on my phone there is a slide out for the volume control and for the power button but nothing changes on the wallpaper.
Whatever it is, my phone doesn’t do it.

I just checked. As my usual wallpaper is dark, it is unnoticeable. Against a lighter background, the effect is visible. I doubt I’ll notice it unless I deliberately look for it in the future.
