Here’s my homescreen on my iphone 8.
I used a Shortcut I found somewhere online… maybe on here actually? Here it is: iCloud Siri Shortcut Link
Aggggh! My eyes!
There are things we cannot unsee.
Holy moly. I … just wow.
I feel like we are somehow obligated to find out where you live and stage an intervention.
I mean, at that point, why even have the badge enabled?
Lovin’ some of those minimalist screens… that’s really nice. Remind me that I don’t really need to see all the apps in the first page. But habits die hard, really and sometimes it is comforting to reach out and tap to launch (vs Spotlight). However, I see those who put Drafts in their Dock and I keep on thinking - these are power users! I just don’t get Drafts and I have listened to the podcast.
First screen is primary to keep me away from hopping directly into many of my apps.
Second screen is when I need to get a few things done or quickly jump into my podcasts, music, RSS, etc…
Right there with you
Is there some kind of hidden icon on the first screen? I always assumed that there had to be at least one, but then again I thought the only “invisible” ones had to be black, so I clearly have things to learn.
I use the Cortex wallpaper.
The “Meeting” app is a Shortcut that creates a Draft with details of a meeting that day (thanks @jayelevy) https://talk.automators.fm/t/drafts-entry-using-details-of-office-365-calendar/4792/2
The app in the tray that you won’t recognise isn’t interesting unless you live in Manly, Australia - it’s a ticket app for the ferry.
I think starting with iOS 11, you can have a blank first page.
I noticed no one is using the Spark app. Why so?
I have it in a folder for the rare times Myke or our Sales Manager shares an email with internal team notes with me, but I personally prefer the default client for its stability and clean layout.
Switched away from Spark to the default for some time. Experimenting with Outlook now, and it’s pretty nice!
