iPhone Overcast app - How to Delete all older unwanted podcast downloads?

Hi,

In the iPhone overcast app – on the downloads page - I have a long list of podcasts that are older and I do not want to download or see. I want to remove them all at once - but I only see a way to swipe left on each one at a time which would be painful.

How can I delete this long list of unwanted older podcasts all at once?

Thanks Dave

I don’t think you can. it’s one by one.

The only thing which may work (but I can’t verify) is to delete the podcast the downloads are from. if you use a Logon, Overcast will remember which ones you’ve listened to so that if you then re-add the podcast, you can see your history.

In settings, manage storage, long press on the podcast or go to the bottom to delete all.

My impression from the OP was that they had pending downloads they wished to delete, not episodes which were already deleted.

I see that now. My mistake.

Under settings for an individual podcasts you can limit the number of podcasts you keep. Some of mine are always 1 and most are 3.

Thanks for the suggestions folks!

In my case - I have many podcasts - so it seems hard to manage this issue. Does anyone know how to contact support - I can’t find it?

i will try this - feedback@overcast.fm

Almost 100% chance you’re not going to get a reply from Marco.

If you don’t want to download a particular podcast as a general rule, you should set it to not follow new episodes. Click into the podcast, and click the “Following” blue box. That will make it so you don’t download any future episodes.

If you don’t want to download ANY podcast episodes temporarily for some reason, Settings → Download Settings → Download New Episodes → Manually. Or you can override the setting for individual podcasts on that screen.

I’d suggest fixing the settings how you want, and then left-swiping your downloads while you watch a TV show or a YouTube video.
