iPhone saving PDF versions of a screenshot from website

This is something that happens quite often and I never took the time to find “why” it happens.

Sometimes I find a website with some information, or a UI that I like, so I take a screenshot (Chrome). I noticed that it sometimes saves a PDF version on iCloud, the whole page, top to bottom (not just the screen).

It’s not something that happens on all websites, so it’s hard to pinpoint why it happens. I think the only thing that “seems” to be common, is when I take the screenshot and I use the pen to circle something on the image. But again, this is so random that I can’t really say that’s the trigger.

Anyone experiences this? Any fix?

It sounds like, in the screenshot preview/editor right after you take it and tap on the screenshot, you’re on the full page toggle that saves a PDF. It’s a tab/slider above the screenshot preview. Not sure what would default it to full page, though. Are you able to see it on full page, change it back to screen, and does it stay there for the next screenshot?

I know what you mean, but that’s not the case. It’s always set to Screen. I never use that Full Page function. Even if it did change to Full Page by “accident/glitch” I would immediately see it, because as soon as I tried to draw in the image, I would see that it’s showing the full page. The layout changes and it adds a preview of the whole page on the right.

This is really some other issue and I can’t figure out what it is… And it’ so random that I can’t seem to replicate it. Sometimes it saves it as PDF, sometimes it doesn’t.

I thought it was every time I drew something on a website screenshot, but that’s not the case, because I just tried it and it didn’t save as PDF.
