My wife’s iPhone 14 Pro Max has been stuck on the Apple logo for hours since during iOS 17.5 update started. I googled it and didn’t find a solution. Any suggestions?
I would shut it down. I am sure you know, but volume up, down, hold power.
Thanks. I did that and it seems to be stuck on the logo again.
What happens if you connect it to a Mac, does it give you any options?
I’ll try that next, thanks
The Mac isn’t recognizing it. It’s not showing up in Finder or the disk utility.
I checked my notes, this happened to me on an iPhone 13 Pro. I fixed it by connecting to a Mac and there was a restore button that worked for me. Since that isn’t working for you, I have no idea what else to try. Hopefully someone has some good suggestions. Good luck!
Thanks. Since neither of those things worked, she’s taking it to Apple.
She said they plugged it into a Mac like I did, but used a utility to do a factory reset, then restored it from her last iCloud backup. I would have asked what the utility was if I’d been there.
It’s quite likely that they put the iPhone in DFU or Recovery Mode. If that’s indeed what they did you don’t need a utility, but can do it yourself using just the iPhone:
