Is Health data stored in iCloud?

I’ve installed beta 1 or beta 2 on my sole iPhone since iOS 7, without a care in the world. I’ve always wiped my phone prior to installing the beta. But since iOS 13 was in beta, I’ve come to care a lot more about tracking my health data. I know that my messages and photos are in the cloud so I’m not worried about that. Everything else is effectively ephemeral for me. So if I do decide to install the beta, I just want to make sure my health data won’t be wiped.

Can anyone verify?

Thanks

Health data does sync to iCloud as of a recent version of iOS. It’s right there in iCloud settings on your phone and needs to be toggled on.

Taking up almost 900 MB of my precious 5 GB free iCloud storage…

You can turn Health in iCloud off and instead use an encrypted local backup which also preserves health data if you aren’t able to increase your iCloud storage.

Like the OP I care about my health data, so I actually do both (iCloud & local encrypted backup).

I actually do the same. Not purely because of Health data, but two backups is always better than one!
