Some of us will remember the old times when Fantastical started as a little calendar app in the menubar. Those days are long gone now and Fantastical has become a full-fledged calendar app with a lot of options and features. I know that there are people out there who miss the times when Fantastical just had been this little menubar app.

There is a freeware tool out there that looks quite interesting:

I never heard about this tool, but it is not new. It definitely is no Fantastical replacement for those of us who value its feature set as of today. But … it might be worth a look, if you just want a nice looking option in your menubar to display your calendar (with some more features).

Calendar app trivia: Fantastical started as a text box in the menu bar because one of the founders had developed the text parsing engine for school, and was trying to figure out how to make it useful.
