Keeping focus with apps I’m pleased to use

I am going for basics these days, having only apps I know I don’t overuse on my homescreen, with others in folders.
My second screen is a bunch of folders with anything new available outside, temporarily (just a blood pressure app, beta feedback and Discourse right now).
I want easy access to Google Maps getting in the car, podcasts and music any time, and Messages with my wife. Other chat apps are tucked away, and I removed the Twitter and Facebook apps entirely a couple of months back.
Plus, I want to see my photos clearly.
