Just did a restart, and now none of the KM shortcuts works. I’m on Sonoma beta, but the same version as before restart.
Anyone that recognize this?
Try Help > Interactive Help. It’ll check if the KM engine is running at startup, plus a few other things.
Have a look at the Keyboard Maestro forum at Keyboard Maestro Forum as well – there are a lot of helpful people on there, including the developer. The application specific forum might have a broader user base to have come across your issue.
Hope this helps.
If you start Keyboard Maestro do you see a banner about being in Secure Input mode which prevents KM from working? I was getting that a lot as I had stayed on macOS Ventura until quite recently. Alfred will also tell you when the Mac thinks it is in Secure Input mode. Since my upgrade to (non-beta) Mac Sonoma, I have not experienced the issue.
Thanks for the input. It turns out that the KM engine hangs after X minutes of uptime.
I’ll talk to the developer.
(I’m trying to insert a screen dump but gets error “Invalid region: Region was not a valid DNS name”…)
Yeah, it’s broke, see:
Doesn’t sound like this is the issue for you, but my employer’s IT-crapware started disabling KM a few months ago, flagging it as possible malware. They whitelisted it once for me, but it recently started blocking it again. I gave up and started moving some stuff into BetterTouchTool.
