I want to completely disable Bluetooth on my macOS desktop. As an alternative to my wireless mouse “MX Master 3S”, I want to use the Keychron M6 Wireless Mouse. It can also be operated with a USB-C cable. What do you think about the mouse? I am very satisfied with the “MX Master 3S,” I am looking for a 1:1 alternative with a cable.
If you want to ditch Bluetooth while keeping the MX Master 3S shape and thumb wheel, the Keychron M6 is honestly the closest wired USB-C option right now.
It is way lighter than the Logitech (around 78g vs 141g). The top wheel still has an infinite scroll toggle, though the mechanism is mechanical instead of electromagnetic so ratchet mode is a bit louder. The nice part is you do not need bloated background software like Logi Options+ at all. You just set DPI, polling rate, and button remaps in Chrome at launcher.keychron.com and it saves straight to onboard memory. For macOS scroll direction and trackpad-style gestures on the mouse, I just pair it with a tiny utility called BetterPad and it feels great.
