I just bough an 15” M3 MacBook Air and would like to use it at work with my 2 monitors. I currently have a work desktop computer that uses the monitors and I would like to switch between the 2 devices. Does anyone have a recommendation on a good KVM switch and what I would need to connect it to the thunderbolt port? Do I need to use both thunderbolt ports for both screens or can I split off of one to run both monitors? I’m not looking for a crazy expensive kvm, I don’t do anything too graphics heavy, I just need one that will do the job. TIA

Discovered this USB switcher after many, many years and have never looked back.
I’ve done a lot of shopping for KVMs that would meet my needs and found very few support that feature set. These support high resolution monitors, high refresh rates, and support Thunderbolt 4 docks. The feature list is extensive, shop around, but I don’t think you’re going to find a more capable KVM.
I know you said you don’t want crazy expensive, but I’ll at least share the best ones I know of for comparison. I would personally go ConnectPRO first with a TB Dock, but either should meet your needs.
Do your two monitors have HDMI inputs? This might be what you’re looking for:
Thank you for the suggestions!
