Learn to Sketch/Draw on iPad — App Recommendations?

I’d like to learn to sketch and draw using the iPad. I can barely make a decent stick figure. :slightly_smiling_face: Does anyone have an app recommendation for learning to sketch and draw that I can use on the iPad?

Excited to see what folks come up with. I haven’t been super lucky in finding what I was looking for…an app to teach me that I can draw on the iPad at the same time. It seems like most want me to draw somewhere else or it’s an ebook.

I’m sure there are LOADS of different classes online. I have taken a class by Claudia Riveros, now free on YouTube, quite enjoyable:

Another popular teacher is Nathan Brown, but he might be more into digital painting, tbh.

Procreate seems to be the preferred go-to tool for freehand digital drawing / painting on iPad.

I’ve got 2 recommendations - procreate, the obvious one, and Concepts - infinite canvas with vector brushes, works really well for more technical sketches and notes.

Both work, but shading/painting will be easier in procreate.
