…for games that can be played remotely between players.
Chess is an obvious choice, but there are a ton in the app store.
Which one?

Net - Grandpa on one side of the country, grandkids on the other.
What can we use to play together?

Any suggestions appreciated

Have a look at www.boardgamearena.com there are loads on there from the simple stuff like Battleships to gateway games like Ticket to Ride to much more complex stuff.

I think it’s free to join and play, only some of the more involved stuff requires a sub.
