Not to salt the wound but I hope this is a lesson you will only learn once.
As I’ve mentioned on our forums many times, it is always 
when someone comes to us with an issue requiring backups, I ask about the backups, and they say, “I don’t have any!! I just NEED THE FILES I DELETED!!!”
