I have recently taken a look at “Opus One” for my task and calendar needs. I’ve realised how much I really do love apps with individual designs, mostly skeuomorphic, and am on the hunt to see what other apps might have an “older” design.
I’m growing so tired of the clinical, neutral, appeal-to-everyone style of most modern software. It doesn’t stick in my mind nicely. It doesn’t feel interesting to use. It reminds me of every coffee shop and every office being so devoid of personality for fear of putting anyone off!
What apps do people use (any category, really) that chart their own path, and do something interesting with their UI?
