I’m contemplating upgrading to an M1 MacBook Pro, but wondered whether I could get more for my 2019 16inch MBP than Apple is offering. I like the ease of use of the apple system, but given that I have a fairly upgraded machine in terms of RAM and has only very light use, I’m not super happy with $$ they are offering. Wondering if anyone knows of any good companies in Canada that might be good to deal with? Thanks!

I sold my Mac mini via eBay last week.
It was a 2020 Intel model that cost me ~$2400—somehow I sold it for $2000. Unfortunately eBay takes about 20% of that, and then there’s shipping, but I was surprised and pleased with the outcome.
(Knock on wood: it was only delivered yesterday, so who knows, maybe the buyer will have a problem with it or something? I’m not sure how eBay handles that kind of buyer’s remorse…)

! Glad to hear you had luck with ebay. Maybe I should go that way. It does make me nervous - and obviously Apple makes it all easy with shipping, etc. Mb I should poke around to see what they are selling for at ebay.ca

Good to know that eBay can go that high. But, there are other choices like Facebook Marketplace and Kijiji.

Yep, just put it up on kijiji to see if I get any bites. (I’m almost afraid that it will, because then I am in the difficult position of deciding how much money to spend on my upgrade, lol!)
