Ignorance of AI is a two-way thing. There are people who have no idea about the possible negative consequences, but there are also people who are ignorant of the possible positives who decry the whole thing out of hand.
I think the latter camp are “informed” by the social media landscape and little else. Maybe a little mainstream media written by people in that same camp.
