macOS Sequoia Internet issues

Hi, after upgrading to macOS sequoia 15.0, I’m noticing that after my open the lid of my laptop doesn’t connect to the internet for the first 2ish mins. Then magically the internet stops working. If I lock if but keep the lid open, it works fine. Closing the lid triggers something which makes the internet stop working for the first 1-2 mins. What could be wrong.

PS: I didn’t have any issues with the previous version of macOS though (monterey)

Are you using any VPNs or security software?

It’s a giant clusterf*** courtesy of Apple not beta testing properly. I waited 3 years for them to fix vpn bug finally in Sonoma and now it’s reintroduced :-/

I use little snitch, but that’s all. I even tried to disable it’s filter but didn’t resolve.

Ethernet? Or wifi? I use my M1 MBpro14 primarily in clamshell connected to an OWC TB3 dock and one of the annoying things I find is that after updating macOS I always have to reset my network service order priority. It always reverts to Wifi as the first default, which is slower than my ethernet connection.

Others are having the same problem. Here’s a few things to try.
