Is anyone still using this trick?

I complete forgot about it. But I remember that it is so handy. I can’t work out how to do the n dash (Option + “-”) on my keyboard though… any help?

You just hold down the option key and press the hyphen key (the one between 0 and = on the standard US keyboard layout). It may be hard to visually distinguish from a hyphen in some fonts, but it is a different character.
