Just in case like me you initially didn’t have a clue how to get to “All Mail” in the new 15.4 Beta MacOS mail.app.
Just click on any of the categories a second time and All Mail will show up. Same again to get rid of it.
I’m really not sure why they have added a click/swipe gesture to show all mail that is basically undiscoverable.
Also can anyone explain the logic behind the lack of swipe gestures left or right for Priority Notifications, just seems like a silly feature to put a message reference that you can’t action directly.
Update: I’ve found the shortcut keys for MacOS mail.app AND iPadOS for categories:
Apple continues to be a great hardware company, but software wise, they’ve really lost their way. Those mail categories are just laughably bad, obviously the first thing you want to do is turn them off, so shouldn’t they make it really easy
I’ll chime in and say I also find the new mail categorization very useful and time saving. In all the earlier beta’s I appreciated it on the phone, and missed it on the iPads, Mac. My one gripe is that it groups multiple emails from the same sender — my prime example is multiple emails from the NYT — under one entry. I have to be vigilant about not deleting multiple emails at the same time. Note, that this seems to occur on the phone and iPad, but not on my Mac…… weird. Is there a setting that controls this?
