March 2026: Bill Splitting (Restaurants & Beyond) - iOS App: Splitty

I am testing ‘Splitty’ for iOS (the bill-splitting app, not the hotel site). While the “Liquid Glass” UI is polished, I’m running into some friction:

  1. PDF Import: It doesn’t handle PDF imports from cloud sources like OneDrive easily.
  2. Trial Limitations: The 3-use free trial is a bit restrictive when you’re still troubleshooting the OCR.
  3. Support Lag: Response times have been slower than expected for a premium-priced utility.
  4. No Ledger: There is currently no transaction history/logging to track past splits.
  5. OCR Errors: It recently struggled with a BOGO line item, misreading a negative value in a way that couldn’t be manually edited.

Are there other apps with modern OCR that handle these gaps (especially PDF import and transaction history) more effectively?
