Microsoft's Bill Gates: Steve Jobs cast spells on everyone but he didn't fool me

Bill Gates envies Steve Jobs’s ability to mesmerize people with nonsense.

Sounds ridiculous in a headline but Gates makes good points. Yeah, Jobs was often full of baloney but the products were and are great anyway.

The Web became publicly available on 6-Aug-91. On 26-May-95 Mr. Gates published his famous “The Internet Tidal Wave” memo outlining.

This minor wizard’s skillset never included the ability to see the future. He had to rely on people like Jobs to point the way.

I do respect him for expertly correcting the course of the SS Microsoft to the Internet, but not for the way he did it.

And for the work he and Melinda have done since retiring from Microsoft.
