Can a landlord/neighbor in your building access your online activity? There was something I used to use. I want to say VCA but that’s not it. Help. I bought it on a yearly basis, I believe.

If there is nothing i can do, please advise.

You are referring to a VPN. If you are on a shared WiFi, yes please get a good VPN.

Does your building provide you with your internet service, or do you use a commercial ISP like AT&T, Comcast, or Verizon, etc?

If your building acts as your ISP, I would expect them to be able to observe the IP address of your computer, the websites you visit (macpowerusers.com, 167.99.145.11), and the amount of data sent/received, etc. But not the content of https (secure) traffic. This is the same info any ISP or company network manager can see.

If you use a commercial ISP like Comcast no one else should be able to see your activity (legally).

Thank you ever so much. I pay for my own service.

. . . as long as they haven’t gained access to your wifi. If you have any doubts change your wifi password.

Check your router admin panel to see what devices are connected.

I know the app Fing could scan your network and all intruders and breaches. But I haven’t used it since we bought our own house. A few years ago I lived in an apartment building with similar problems and Fing proved to be helpful back then.
