Today and a half a dozen times last month, opening up Music (via dock or Alfred) does not open the app. Music’s menu shows up all greyed out and some menu items are available with some being actionable and others not. None open up the Music app window with my radio and digital content. I do not use the Apple Music service. I have purchase content from the Apple store and import some of my CDs and from other sources like bandcamp.
Last week’s 2 hour meandering call with Apple support resulted in a fix (albeit temporary fix) after PRAM and SMC resets and multiple restarts. And today, the issue exists again.
A Mac user colleague thought Music application is not connecting to its directory. I’ll start my research here as the wisdom here is deep and wide.
