What was the reason for upgrading from the M1?
This is precisely the specification I’m interested in. I await your review after you’ve had some time to thoroughly test it. I currently have an M1 MBA and am seeking an upgrade. I’m no longer interested in basic RAM configurations (I’m interested in running my own local AI models), so a minimum requirement of 24GB is essential for Llama or LM Studio.

I want the new form factor and extra headroom for some programs at work. The MBA M1 has been an outstanding machine though.
I’m currently still pleased with my (base model…) M1, but like Aaron I’m interested in what the M4 is like for you.

I felt that way when I ordered my M2 Air on Black Friday. And Amazon even overnighted it to me yay.
