Newton back from the dead (again)

I feel much more trusting of the new owners than I was of « how come nobody can see these products will never work » Essential. Given that this app does everything I could ask including the SaneBox features I pay for (plus Send Later), I am much tempted to give it another try.

Are there users happy with Newton’s return? What do you like most about it?

Many who work for corporations learn this when they try to use apps like Newton, but for others it’s important to understand that apps like Spark and Newton do a lot of server side “magic” so you need to trust them to put your information on their servers. I am not telling you not to use them, but just one of those things people should know. I am sure most here are aware, but seeing even tech journalists on twitter this morning being surprised by this was quite something.

Yup, that’s one of the reasons why I did not use Newton when it was owned by Essential and why I’m wary of Spark, but the new owners have made privacy one of their explicit priorities.
