Night Mode doesn’t work with External Monitor?

I have a 43in Dell monitor that I use along with my M1 MBP16.

I want to use night mode (cut out the blue light) after 9pm but it doesn’t seem to work with my Dell external monitor. Doesn’t seem to support it.

Any solution?

Have you gone to settings “Display”, “Night Shift…”? Your external monitor Night Shift settings should show up there.

It works on my display but it won’t on my dell monitor…

I had the same issue with a Dell Ultrawide 38", unfortunately there is nothing you can do, I had tried everything back then. The only solution was to use a third-party app. Funnily enough, I’ve got a much cheaper 27" monitor at my holiday home and it works fine there.

That sucks…

The new Apple monitor is out of the question…. Way too much money and I am so use to a large 43inch monitor which double as my TV….

Which third party app will enable night mode? Just wanted to cut out the blue light few hours before going to bed…

This app, will pretty much do the same, you can set your location and have it automatically kick in when it’s late etc.
